Listen SDR – an accessible client for FM-DX, Kiwi and Open Web RX servers
Listen SDR for Android and iOS provides convenient access to FM-DX, Kiwi SDR and Open Web RX servers. It is fully accessible to blind users.Choose from hundreds of receivers in the directory, or enter the connection details for your favourite private tuner.
You can record the receiver you are listening to, even if its browser interface does not have the Record audio plugin, and easily create presets for your favourite frequencies.
The app also includes a history of recently scanned frequencies, a smart radio scanner and many other useful features.
The application is still being developed and is currently in beta. Android users need to install it from an APK file, while iOS users can get it through TestFlight.
If you have trouble installing the APK, look for an online guide to installing Android applications from outside the app store.

Stream recorder – record internet radio streams
Stream recorder is a simple Windows application developed together with DJ Graco. It records radio streams without re-encoding. Start and stop recordings manually, or schedule them for specific times. The application supports HTTP and HTTPS.
Raw AAC recordings can optionally be remuxed into M4A for compatibility with more players.
You can minimise the application to the system tray to keep its window out of the way.
It also supports recording streams protected by a username and password, provided you have those credentials. However, we did not have access to such a stream during development, so this feature has not been tested and may be less reliable.

Easy audio converter – quickly convert audio files with an NVDA add-on
Several friends asked me for a simple add-on to convert audio files quickly without installing a large, separate application. They wanted something small, accessible and ready to use, without a complex interface or features they would not need for this task. I wanted such a tool too. Audacity, Adobe Audition, Sony Sound Forge and Reaper are valuable applications, but their main purpose is audio editing and production. The goal was to create a small, accessible tool that is always at hand and can convert files without requiring a full audio-editing suite.
That is how Easy audio converter came about!
What does the add-on offer?
Easy audio converter focuses on safe, repeatable file processing from File Explorer. Alongside standard conversion, it offers:- A task queue
- Optional parallel processing and separate progress windows
- Detailed control over preserving, selecting and replacing metadata
- Copying cover art and chapters
- Preserving the source files' creation and modification dates
- Optional thorough verification of output files
- Extracting the original audio stream from a video and remuxing AAC into M4A without re-encoding
- EBU R128 loudness normalisation and advanced lossless codec settings
Icecast metadata updater
Icecast metadata updater is a small application for Unix-based systems. It supplies stream metadata externally when the streaming application does not support it.It comes in two variants, displaying different information in the stream title depending on your needs:
- For streams relayed from receivers connected to FM-DX, it can insert details of the station being received and the receiver's status.
- For live ambient streams, it can insert current weather information.
Title Update for FMDX (SH script)
The FM-DX title updater automatically sets the stream title using receiver data: frequency, RDS, station name, ERP, distance and signal level in dB.You can change the text and displayed values in the "config.json" configuration file. Example files are included in the application directory.
The tuner updater works independently of the ambient stream components. You can deploy it on its own or alongside the full updater.
Title updater for outside (SH script)
Automatically updates stream titles with current weather and rainfall information. It works in the same way as the FM-DX title updater.
